in light of my trip to korea the past week, i wanted to focus in on the sacrifice that the americans have made for my country.  we have our memorial day on june 25th, on the day the war started, but

based on a few sources, there were 33,741 combat deaths as well as 2,827 non combat deaths.

also for the ~113,000+ south korean military and ~550,000 south korean civilians.  there were ~1.3 million north koreans killed as well.  we were all koreans.  my dad had/has family up there.

so thank you for helping our country and paying the ultimate price so that we could have freedom.

we can discuss the politics of it later, but today, i just remember and honor the dead
