You are currently browsing the category archive for the ‘barack obama’ category.

during the first presidental debate, barack obama called john mccain by his first name almost 2 dozen times … instead of using the proper title of senator mccain, mr mccain, or the like.  it was john this, john that…  read it here

what kind of little punk does that?  this is someone that is one vote away from becoming president of the united states… is he going to call leader of the other party by their first name? how about leaders of other countries?

first, he has no respect for an elder… isnt this something that we all learned as kids?  is this because he has daddy issues?

second, john mccain continued to call barack by his title, senator obama throughout the debate

it is a little thing, but that is one of those things that i hate about some in news, politics and talk radio

they will call bill clinton, jummy carter, newt gingrich, and others that are no longer in office with their former title, but they call the current president, geirge bush, by just bush, mr bush, and not president… and barack saying.. this has been YOUR president… referencing george bush.  so the left still feels that president bush is not their president… so can the right say the same thing if barack gets into office?

i know.. i call barack and john by their first name.. but that is cause i dont like either of them.  if i had a vote, i would not have voted for any of the 4 people on the 2 tickets…   i am just an alien and you americans just take my taxes and i get no say…

there is so much talk about barack being such a great speaker.. and granted… he does read speeches well like his acceptance speech.

the issue seems to be when he is off prompter and in sit down interviews… he uses ‘ummm’ almost every few words, hem and haws, pauses, uses things like ‘come on’, ‘you know’, makes gaffs like the ‘my muslim faith’ and ’57 states’ things that are just goofy, and just makes me so frustrated listening to him that i want to punch him in the face through the tv or the youtubes or the radio

on the other hand, sarah palin has given a well read speech as well during the convention and also had to deal with a teleprompter that lost its mind and she basically was off prompter for the second half of her speech and she still did a fine job.

i was trying to compare the interviews that obama has given over the many months .. actually years now, compared to the week 2 weeks of sarah palin getting the full on frontal barrage that she has had to deal with… and this.. being her first nationally televised interview

for someone that is touted as being very articulate and a great speaker… i do  not see that when he is off prompter or in live forums….

also… i thought the body language was interesting… note that barack kept leaning forward and trying to touch bill oreilly on the knee or something… 😉

these are baracks interview with bill oreilly

here are sarah palins interviews with charlie gibson

so did you hear joe biden telling people that hillary would have been a better selection for veep than he would have been? .. hmmm

count that with the lunch that barack all of a sudden has with bill clinton in harlem, and how weird and full ‘o clinton the DNC was here in denver…

being asian.. we can do the math and so can some others….

it looks like barack may be preparing to drop biden and go hillary…

hmm.. i wonder if the public will see this as a valid move or a purely desperation — hail mary by the obama camp  akin to the mccain selection of palin, or something that was planned all along by the clintonistas, ir to quell the sexist talk with all of the stupid pig and sweetie talk

that would likely be a winning ticket.. as the current ticket sucks for the democrats with joe biden probably getting less votes than total population of wasilla

ok there is a lot of talk about barack calling sarah palin a pig when he used the pig and lipstick line…

yeah.. i think he was taking a jab at her but so what… really … is that what this politcal season is all about?

it is also stupid of barack to not just apologize and move on.  if he really just misspoke or meant no harm… then he would not have been so caught by that overnight ad about the hockey mom and lipstick and putting lipstick on a pig and it still being a pig..

get over it.. my 5th grader is above that crap

these are some statements from barack from his acceptance speech here at invesco field at mile high that made me cringe… stream of consciousness comments inline

With profound gratitude and great humility, I accept your nomination for the presidency of the United States.  really? so much humility that you moved your speech from the pepsi center that would have held 20,000+ participants … to an outdoor stage created by britney spears’ prop director that looked like a greek temple in front of 80,000 .. hmmm

Four years ago, I stood before you and told you my story — of the brief union between a young man from Kenya and a young woman from Kansas who weren’t well-off or well-known, but shared a belief that in America, their son could achieve whatever he put his mind to.  enough about your dad and mom … maybe you should blame your mom for not being able to keep multiple marriages together… and picking guys that were douche bags. we read your 2 memoirs … wait .. how old are you… and why do you have 2 memoirs in book form already..

Tonight, more Americans are out of work and more are working harder for less. More of you have lost your homes and even more are watching your home values plummet. More of you have cars you can’t afford to drive, credit card bills you can’t afford to pay, and tuition that’s beyond your reach.  and it is all george bushs fault right?  he made you buy a house that you could barely afford

These challenges are not all of government’s making. But the failure to respond is a direct result of a broken politics in Washington and the failed policies of George W. Bush.  ahhh.. there it is … all bushs fault all the time

This country is more generous than one where a man in Indiana has to pack up the equipment he’s worked on for 20 years and watch it shipped off to China, and then chokes up as he explains how he felt like a failure when he went home to tell his family the news.  again.. george bush sold the company that moved to china right?  did he go out and find another job?

We are more compassionate than a government that lets veterans sleep on our streets and families slide into poverty; that sits on its hands while a major American city drowns before our eyes.   and we never had homeless vets before george bush

But the record’s clear: John McCain has voted with George Bush 90 percent of the time. Sen. McCain likes to talk about judgment, but really, what does it say about your judgment when you think George Bush has been right more than 90 percent of the time? I don’t know about you, but I’m not ready to take a 10 percent chance on change.  do the democrats have nothing more than bush bashing?  george bush is not running again…. dont you have any new ideas? so what if he voted for most of the republican issues… he still went off in the weeds on some major issues… and 10% difference of issues over 8 years is still a lot

Now, I don’t believe that Sen. McCain doesn’t care what’s going on in the lives of Americans. I just think he doesn’t know. Why else would he define middle class as someone making under $5 million a year? How else could he propose hundreds of billions in tax breaks for big corporations and oil companies but not one penny of tax relief to more than 100 million Americans? How else could he offer a health care plan that would actually tax people’s benefits, or an education plan that would do nothing to help families pay for college, or a plan that would privatize Social Security and gamble your retirement?    umm.. have you gone to irs.gov?  for 2007, there were less than 90 million receipts … so where is he getting the 100 million value… there is also 300 million people in the united states per the census… just trying to figure out where the 100 million tax payers are coming from.  especially with the baby boomers retiring… starting now

It’s not because John McCain doesn’t care. It’s because John McCain doesn’t get it.  is he trying to say mccain does not understand cause he is OLD? is barack an agist?  why does he hate old white men?  his grandpa is an old white man… he should go up to mccain and ask for a werthers and sit on the porch and tell stories about fishing….

For over two decades, he’s subscribed to that old, discredited Republican philosophy — give more and more to those with the most and hope that prosperity trickles down to everyone else. In Washington, they call this the Ownership Society, but what it really means is you’re on your own. Out of work? Tough luck. No health care? The market will fix it. Born into poverty? Pull yourself up by your own bootstraps — even if you don’t have boots. You’re on your own.   wait.. barack.. in your 2 memoirs… isnt that YOUR story?  born into modest means, got yourself into ivy league colleges and earned millions… living the american dream… that anyone from ANY circumstance can do anything?

Well, it’s time for them to own their failure. It’s time for us to change America.  why change america?  change it into what?

Because in the faces of those young veterans who come back from Iraq and Afghanistan, I see my grandfather, who signed up after Pearl Harbor, marched in Patton’s Army, and was rewarded by a grateful nation with the chance to go to college on the GI Bill.   see… you do see mccain as your grandpa … a war hero

In the face of that young student who sleeps just three hours before working the night shift, I think about my mom, who raised my sister and me on her own while she worked and earned her degree; who once turned to food stamps but was still able to send us to the best schools in the country with the help of student loans and scholarships.  boohoo… pick yourself up by the bootstraps wait .. they do and they succeed

When I listen to another worker tell me that his factory has shut down, I remember all those men and women on the South Side of Chicago who I stood by and fought for two decades ago after the local steel plant closed.  wait.. so you waited 20 years to start fighting for people that already had no jobs or stannding around cause their plant closed?  they did not go out and look for other work in those 20 years?  so as a community organizer … is that what you did… have flash mobs in front of steel mills that closed 20 years prior?

Our government should work for us, not against us. It should help us, not hurt us. It should ensure opportunity not just for those with the most money and influence, but for every American who’s willing to work.  so why did nancy polosi up and leave for 5 weeks when the people of this country are asking for an energy bill

That’s the promise of America — the idea that we are responsible for ourselves, but that we also rise or fall as one nation; the fundamental belief that I am my brother’s keeper, I am my sister’s keeper.  if you are your brothers keeper and you are using that as an example… geez.  your brother lives over in africa in a hut on $1 a month… why dont you help him out with a few bucks… a couple hundred … that would go a long way over there for your brother… from another mother… i prob would not bring that line up again

That’s the promise we need to keep. That’s the change we need right now. So let me spell out exactly what that change would mean if I am president.    ooooo the shivaaahs .. i am so excited

Unlike John McCain, I will stop giving tax breaks to corporations that ship jobs overseas, and I will start giving them to companies that create good jobs right here in America.  I dont see john mccain giving tax breaks to companies that outsource… but barack acknowledges that tax breaks are needed for companies to function

I will eliminate capital gains taxes for the small businesses and the start-ups that will create the high-wage, high-tech jobs of tomorrow.  what is the definition of a small business?  and with cap gains taxes.. you need to make more than $500,000 right?  so how small of a business are you talking about?  and how many startups have capital gains?  they have investors and angel funds that they need to pay back first and usually are not EBITDA positive enough to pay capital gains taxes… so this is just a bunch of words that dont mean anything

I will cut taxes — cut taxes — for 95 percent of all working families. Because in an economy like this, the last thing we should do is raise taxes on the middle class.  wow.. with the top 5% of income taxes paying for more than ~75% of all taxes… that remaining ~25% really need that tax cut…. and actually that tax cut you are proposing would net about $16 a month ish for most families… wow… at least that is more than your brother lives off of for a whole year…

And for the sake of our economy, our security, and the future of our planet, I will set a clear goal as president: in 10 years, we will finally end our dependence on oil from the Middle East.  HOW? now is the time you need to be giving us details about this stuff… not just adding to the piles of other promises

Washington’s been talking about our oil addiction for the last 30 years, and John McCain has been there for 26 of them. In that time, he’s said no to higher fuel-efficiency standards for cars, no to investments in renewable energy, no to renewable fuels. And today, we import triple the amount of oil as the day that Sen. McCain took office.  Uh.. and your running mate has been there just as long… and they have owned the congress for longer than the republicans… so… what were you saying?

Now is the time to end this addiction, and to understand that drilling is a stopgap measure, not a long-term solution. Not even close.  but tuneups and tire pressure are … hmmm.  i am not saying not to do that… and common sense says this is true… but it does not offset the complete gain of offshore drilling that you stated.. not even close… that is why the right wingers are  making fun of you about tire pressure

As president, I will tap our natural gas reserves, invest in clean coal technology, and find ways to safely harness nuclear power. I’ll help our auto companies retool, so that the fuel-efficient cars of the future are built right here in America. I’ll make it easier for the American people to afford these new cars. And I’ll invest $150 billion over the next decade in affordable, renewable sources of energy — wind power and solar power and the next generation of biofuels; an investment that will lead to new industries and 5 million new jobs that pay well and can’t ever be outsourced. so is tapping different than drilling?  how are you gonna get to the natural gas… and isnt natural gas a fossil fuel?  or does it sound better cause it has the work natural in it?  cleaner coal?  we have loads of coal that has some sulfur in it that is not being used because of environmental regulations… and that coal is cleaner than that used in most of the rest of the world.. china does not care about sulfur content.. if it burns… they burn it.  and sulfur has a greenhouse negating effect….so maybe we can blame the environmentalists that have prevented us from burning sulfur rich coal for global warming…. is the united stated getting into the car making business?  they tried that in europe.. and gave us the YUGO.  how much subsidies are you gonna give car makers to give us cheaper, more affordable cars?  will it offset the subsidies you keep talking about … that we give oil companies?  is that $150 billion from your book sales?  hmm.. over 10 years.  weird.  you are running for a 4 year job.  and $15 a year … does not really seem like much to fix the world… how are you going to create 5 million jobs … when wind and solar do not take any human intervention?  maybe the initial installation and product creation… but after that, you only need a maintenance crew… the sun and the wind do not need or create jobs.

America, now is not the time for small plans.

Now is the time to finally meet our moral obligation to provide every child a world-class education, because it will take nothing less to compete in the global economy. Michelle and I are only here tonight because we were given a chance at an education. And I will not settle for an America where some kids don’t have that chance. I’ll invest in early childhood education. I’ll recruit an army of new teachers, and pay them higher salaries and give them more support. And in exchange, I’ll ask for higher standards and more accountability. And we will keep our promise to every young American: If you commit to serving your community or your country, we will make sure you can afford a college education.  so… what have the teachers unions and the government done to improve education in the past 20 years… why did we have to pull our kids from public schools, because no matter how much money and beauracracy you threw at the ‘problem’ kids today are less educated and have lower scores even when all they do is study for the CSAPs and OHIO and other standardized exams.  the kids that have a chance are those that actually GO to school.  and what kind of college are you talking about…. community college courses?  or the high faluting ivy league schooll like that harvard you went to?

Now is the time to finally keep the promise of affordable, accessible health care for every single American. If you have health care, my plan will lower your premiums. If you don’t, you’ll be able to get the same kind of coverage that members of Congress give themselves. And as someone who watched my mother argue with insurance companies while she lay in bed dying of cancer, I will make certain those companies stop discriminating against those who are sick and need care the most.   who promised health care for every american…. i did not see that on the greencard application?  what part of socialized medicine not working do you not understand?  and every insurance company has different coverage… and course of treatment… some medications are formulary and some are not… are you sasying you are going to standardize that? make everything formulary?  make everything and every treatment available… no matter the cost?  and how do you weigh the lower premiums with higher costs to the companies and doctors?  oh… more subsidies from the guvmint… what percentage?  do you get insurance if you are not working or looking for work?  premiums indicates you either are buying it through your employer or self insured… just wonder how close to hillary-care this is..

Now is the time to help families with paid sick days and better family leave, because nobody in America should have to choose between keeping their jobs and caring for a sick child or ailing parent.  who has to make that choice at this time?  can you provide some names of people fired cause they took sick time or a day to take care of a sick kid?  dont we already have the family medical leave act?  i know i used it back in 1998 when my daughter was sick for a week… and i had a job to come back to

Now is the time to change our bankruptcy laws, so that your pensions are protected ahead of CEO bonuses; and the time to protect Social Security for future generations.  wait.. the bankruptcy laws were just reformed… how are you going to tell a company that thinks and forecasts growth and rewards CEOs with raiding pention plans that are generally different funds… and isnt social security reform a gorge bush thing… more of the same barack…

And now is the time to keep the promise of equal pay for an equal day’s work, because I want my daughters to have exactly the same opportunities as your sons.   Still talking about the glass ceiling huh… awesome that you selected a woman for the VP position… uh wait… no you didn’t that was mccain and hillary is pissed… way to lead us with your actions barack.  next time your daughter wants a job with us… we will give the position to someone that said you are clean for a black man.

Now, many of these plans will cost money, which is why I’ve laid out how I’ll pay for every dime — by closing corporate loopholes and tax havens that don’t help America grow. But I will also go through the federal budget, line by line, eliminating programs that no longer work and making the ones we do need work better and cost less — because we cannot meet 21st century challenges with a 20th century bureaucracy.   so you are gonna get rid of things like the teachers union, nea, and welfare right?

And just as we keep our keep our promise to the next generation here at home, so must we keep America’s promise abroad. If John McCain wants to have a debate about who has the temperament, and judgment, to serve as the next commander in chief, that’s a debate I’m ready to have.  didnt you say you would have a debate anytime anywhere already.. and saddleback forumwas the first time you were in the same building as mccain this whole time.. and it was not even a debate…

For while Sen. McCain was turning his sights to Iraq just days after 9/11, I stood up and opposed this war, knowing that it would distract us from the real threats we face. When John McCain said we could just “muddle through” in Afghanistan, I argued for more resources and more troops to finish the fight against the terrorists who actually attacked us on 9/11, and made clear that we must take out Osama bin Laden and his lieutenants if we have them in our sights. John McCain likes to say that he’ll follow bin Laden to the Gates of Hell — but he won’t even go to the cave where he lives.   does barack know where osama is?  in a cave somewhere?  why not help capture him, get the glory, and the $25 million reward and use it for your campaign… or better yet.. your brother in the hut

And today, as my call for a time frame to remove our troops from Iraq has been echoed by the Iraqi government and even the Bush administration, even after we learned that Iraq has a $79 billion surplus while we’re wallowing in deficits, John McCain stands alone in his stubborn refusal to end a misguided war. so does barack want to swap budgets and economies with iraq?  how do you even compare the two

That’s not the judgment we need. That won’t keep America safe. We need a president who can face the threats of the future, not keep grasping at the ideas of the past.   um but those that do not learn the lessons of the past are bound to repeat them.. and military philosophies and tactics have not changed much… we have just self limited the rules of engagement that prevent our troops from taking more desisive action and that could have won the war a long time back…

You don’t defeat a terrorist network that operates in 80 countries by occupying Iraq. You don’t protect Israel and deter Iran just by talking tough in Washington. You can’t truly stand up for Georgia when you’ve strained our oldest alliances. If John McCain wants to follow George Bush with more tough talk and bad strategy, that is his choice — but it is not the change we need.   umm… where have you been the last 7 years… obviously that plan is working… a bit bumpy and poorly executed.. but the plan has worked for the most part

We are the party of Roosevelt. We are the party of Kennedy. So don’t tell me that Democrats won’t defend this country. Don’t tell me that Democrats won’t keep us safe. The Bush-McCain foreign policy has squandered the legacy that generations of Americans — Democrats and Republicans — have built, and we are here to restore that legacy.   you keep digging yourself into a bigger hole.  roosevelt entered a war in europe when japan attacked us… why?  more soldiers died on normandy in the first day than have died in this war on terror.  kennedy confronted and faced off against russia and set off the bay of pigs… cuba did not attack us… that is the legacy barack

I will end this war in Iraq responsibly, and finish the fight against Al-Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan. I will rebuild our military to meet future conflicts. But I will also renew the tough, direct diplomacy that can prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and curb Russian aggression. I will build new partnerships to defeat the threats of the 21st century: terrorism and nuclear proliferation; poverty and genocide; climate change and disease. And I will restore our moral standing, so that America is once again that last, best hope for all who are called to the cause of freedom, who long for lives of peace, and who yearn for a better future.   whoa… there you go again talking about fixing and being the cure from everything from terrorists to global warming and even disease…  is that how you are gonna pay for health care.. you just heal everybody … after you lower sea levels and heal this earth?

We may not agree on abortion, but surely we can agree on reducing the number of unwanted pregnancies in this country. The reality of gun ownership may be different for hunters in rural Ohio than for those plagued by gang violence in Cleveland, but don’t tell me we can’t uphold the Second Amendment while keeping AK-47s out of the hands of criminals. I know there are differences on same-sex marriage, but surely we can agree that our gay and lesbian brothers and sisters deserve to visit the person they love in the hospital and to live lives free of discrimination. Passions fly on immigration, but I don’t know anyone who benefits when a mother is separated from her infant child or an employer undercuts American wages by hiring illegal workers. This, too, is part of America’s promise — the promise of a democracy where we can find the strength and grace to bridge divides and unite in common effort.   hmmm… lump abortion, guns, and gay rights into a single segment… who is preventing gays from visiting their loved ones in the hospital… there are legal methods to allow that kind of visitation.  why are anchot babaies of illegal immigrants an issue… they know the risk.. just like the abortion issue.. there are a lot of choices BEFORE you get pregnant.  you say keep the jobs in the united states.. and that is what some of these companies are doing by hiring illegals… cause americans will not work in those jobs for the wages being offered…. but the illegals not only make a living here, but also send billions back to mexico … so at some point, there are making a decent living…

I know there are those who dismiss such beliefs as happy talk. They claim that our insistence on something larger, something firmer and more honest in our public life is just a Trojan horse for higher taxes and the abandonment of traditional values. And that’s to be expected. Because if you don’t have any fresh ideas, then you use stale tactics to scare the voters. If you don’t have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from.  umm… barack.. you do not have the record to run on.

<<<< uggg i cant do any more…. my head hurts and the rest was more happy talk… need to save some fury for mccains speech

so what happened to kids of political types being off limits… even barack said kids are off limits…

barack.. might want to tell the guys over at the daily kos and andrew sullivan and the main stream media and cable news and yo momma

first was the rumor that sarah palin was covering for her daughter bristol on her 5th child, who happens to have down syndrome… and that sarah palin had faked an entire pregnancy to cover for the then 16 year old bristol..

and now the revelation that bristol is in fact 5 months pregnant with her boyfriend and they are going to keep the baby and get married…

the horrrrroor!!!!

wait.. where the the outcry when jaime lynn spears .. the 15 year old

maybe this is why sarah palin is so pro abstinence education… cause the current system sucks and you know what.. scientifically… if you dont have sex or the extreme of having in vitro or baster babied… you will not get pregnant … sans the single case back about 200 years ago…

this is for a cousin of mine….

so hillary and barack want to put a windfall profits tax on exxon mobile cause they recorded a record profit… well.. think about it… gas prices are high, exxon is global, and they sell something that everyone is generally using more and more of than they used to even a year ago… so if you do that math … of course they are going to have a huge profit.

the thing that hillary and barack do not tell you is that the profit is what is left over…. they actually made more… but they had to give some of it to the government in taxes already… wanna guess as to how much in taxes they paid? … lets take 2007 …. in 2007, exxon mobile paid almost $68 billion dollars in taxes to the united states… heck with that amount, you would have thought they kept like like $100 billion or something… but actually.. they paid more in taxes than they made in the united states… which amounted to about $48 billion.  hmmm… that does not seem right at all … and just because the number of their first quarter earnings was $11 billion in profits… democrats went ape-crap over it… and wanted to tax the hell out of big mean old oil… cause they made $11 billion in profit. they had a margin of profit about 8% … really.. people are going batty cause the oil companies made 8% profit…

if we take that as a high mark.. then there are a lot of other companies that _should_ be in trouble…

i live next to the manager of the 5 apple stores here in the denver area… so he will not like this post.. but apple made a 31% gain in revenue due to the release of the new iphone.  and their profit margin is close to 15% .. nearly double that of exxon.  and heck… that is more than 4 times exxons growth… why not tax them.  why not make apple give everyone a ipod or an iphone… so… why not hate on apple?

even companies like ge made more in percentage than exxon … at over 10%.  computer industry had over 13%, warren buffett made more than 29% increase in 2007 with bershire hathaway, and koreas own LG made a 500%+ increase between 2006 and 2007… where were the calls to tax them?

how about our own local success story crocs sandels… they are running at about 5000 employees and they made over $64 million in profits last year… on foam sandels…

in the world of tolerance… people are getting ignorant and miopic to their own prejudices and double standards…

all the college students that have macbooks/macbook pros and ipods are not calling for the big apple empire to be taxes and hated .. because they use it and like the product… but their perception is that oil is bad …

i am glad that my daughter got to come to bring your kid to work day when i was at the oil firm… she saw all of the processes .. starting from the geologists that try to figure out where oil is, to the wildcatters and riggers that go out to see if there is anything there worth drilling for, the process from crude to refinement, from the different processes from drilling for oil to drilling for gas… and how they try to go back to ’empty wells’ and try to get more out of them with new technologies… and then the process of paying royalties to the government for drilling for certain types of minerals and natural resources to paying for tankers to and from well to refinery, to paying to pipelines usage, getting leases for areas to drill in, fight enviromental groups for areas like anwar or the plains of colorado for shale, try to figure out alternatives like shale, oil sands, and on and on…

i dont think anyone would want to be taxed more than 60% of what they earn, and then be villified for the percentage they got to keep and have people like barack say he wants to take it away and give $1000 to every family in america…

there are commercials by t boone pickens talking about transfer of wealth … but what barack is promoting is redistribution of wealth in the classic communist model… he is not robin hood…

think about if exxon just said screw it.. we dont want to deal with the bad press and crap about windfall taxes and stopped work tomorrow…. think about the havoc.  think about actual lives that would be affected.  you could not drive to work or school.  ambulances would not be able to take patients to get saved.  not heating and air conditioning… no pizza deliveries…

and think about if a company like apple stopped producing… would anybody die? i am as big an apple fan as any… but i would be able to live without a new mac if my old one kept going… and my ipods and nanos were not dropped and destroyed.

without oil/gas.. we all die. really.  we talk about giving teachers raises because they are important… well.. why begrudge oil companies for making some money for something that we all use…

it is all a shell game (sorry not trying to bring another oil company pun) … it used to be big bad tobacco.. and we all saw how wisely the states used the funds from the settlements because people chose to light up and smoke even after everyone told them it was bad for them… and then big bad pharmaceuticals until they started making boner pills and then all the old democrats laid off them … uh.. again, not trying to use a pun.  and now the stalwort big bad oil … until they all need lube for their car or expedition into africa or private plane flight to give a speech … wait.. they have those needs now.. why do they still hate you big oil?

pick whomever you want to hate and they get the windfall profits tax…

so back to exxon mobil … they have close to 110,000 employees world wide.  that means that their $11 billion profit is like $100.00 profit per employee.

there has beena lot of talk about how the stage looks like a greek temple or even nuremburg columns … but who cares…

the thing i find funny is that mccain ran the paris hilton/britney spears star commercial, and comes to find out that the stage designer is the set/prop designer for britney spears… awesome.

i guess they were going for the lincoln memorial look since it is the anniversary of the ‘i have a dream’ speech by dr martin luther king jr.

i watched the speech, and that was no ‘i have a dream’ … but it is the culmination of the speech, where a man of color has a 50/50 chance of becoming the president of the united states.  i just am judging the man by the content of his character and find him wanting.  just a lot of experience that he does not have.  and some of the things that he talked about giving everybody is gonna cost loads and loads of money that does nto exist

at this moment… i am sooooo happy that i am not working in downtown anymore… just because the traffic and mass of people in downtown would have driven me to work from home or punch somebody

it would have been fun to participate in some of the stuff… but i hate crowds so i guess not

i didnt get tickets to the thursday night event either so… we will just have to watch on tv

my sister-in-law is having to park elsewhere as she normally parked at the pepsi center parking lot.. and my lightrail trip in would have sucked

so i am loving working in DTC and not having to deal with closed roads and i-25 being shut down during the event at invesco field thursday night

so i alluded to this earlier, but i noticed that the picture of obama on the biden selection was very overexposed and washed out and light…

this was counter to the hillary campaign that was blasted for running an ad with obama looking ‘darker’ than he normally was…

i am just wondering wich is the real obama.. and is he playing the color game the other way….

obama… the other white meat? you tell me… is barack playing a reverse race card?

OMG!!!! my wish came true….too bad, so sad hillary

wait… why does obama look so pale?  wasnt there some flack about some magazine making barack too dark … in some subliminal messge type thing to scare people about black people… but baracks camp seems to be making him look ‘whiter’

maybe barack was enamored by biden cause he thought he was making a compliment…

the quote:

“I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,” Biden said. “I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

thanks barack… we are gonna have some fun now… and nice ‘change’ and ‘fresh’ and non washington insider choice’

so i signed up for the text message that barack obama is gonna send to when he announces his VP/running mate

i hope it is joe biden … cause that woulld just be a nonstop gaff machine for all of us… comedy GOLD MINE

yeah… the same joe biden that basically tanked his campaign by saying barack was clean and articulate … yeah.. that joe biden

come on barack.. let your fingers do the talking and chat me up some biden

i did not watch the saddleback fun fiesta with rick warren, john mccain, and barack obama until today…. i wanted to see how others responded and then see if what they were saying matched what i saw.

i have written before about how i wonder about rick warren injecting himself into a lot of issues and areas that may not seem appropriate… and how i am not a big fan of mega churches… but i think this was a good ‘debate’

i just have one thing to say… barack got spanked.  he looked like he does when he is not in fron tof a podium.. a lot of ummms, pauses, and just not the articulate barack that we have all come to love

i dont like mccain … but he gave answers that showed a level of understanding of the issues that just blew barack out of the water… so much so that the left is claiming that john mccain somehow cheated.

one of the biggest things for me was the question about when life began … he said something about theological view or political view and ‘it’s above my pay grade.’ ???

what???

it is a simple question.. about when HE… BARACK thought about when life begins … is it conception? is it when the heart starts beating at 8 weeks? is it when the baby is viable? is it when the baby takes its first breath? even i can answer that… and i am a knuckle dragging not allowed to vote immigrant

above my pay grade?

he is running for president of the united states.  probably going to appoint a few supreme court justices as the others age out and die… and one of the major issues that they will tackle will be Roe v Wade…

that is the pay grade he is running for.

i am not running for president and can tell you that by definition, life begins at conception… when the cells start to split with the babies own dna… unique from mother or father…. we all agree that even yeast is alive… and all it does is split and fart..

watch the forum here

so… there was a wwe wrestling parody of hillary and barack as wrestlers and bill making comments from ring side…

the pant suit, the ears, just funny

‘can you smell what barack is cookin?’
‘hey.. don’t touch her, she has not had a man touch her in years’
‘i did not have illegal contact with that canidate’

check it… and watch it in HD
